Orange You Glad We Said Orange?

Orange is a one of my favorite colors in the garden.  Every year I search for brilliant orange flowers to add to perennial beds,  as annual color or as a delightful burst in containers.  And roses?  Who wants traditional red when shades of orange are abundant and are capable of exciting the senses of sight and smell.  Orange roses produce some of the most aromatic blooms that will certainly add to the joy that is your landscape.

If you're as big a fan of orange as I am, perhaps some of these flowers will find a place in your garden.

Can-Can Orange Calibrachoa.  These tiny petunia-like annuals are perfect for hanging baskets and containers. They grow quickly and bloom profusely.

Luscious Citrus Blend Lantana.  Heat lover that combines orange, red and yellow on a mounding plant that grows 3 feet high and 3 feet wide.

Fresh Look Orange Celosia.  One of the showiest annuals around.  In a bed or container, it's a show-stopper!

Fantasia Coral Geranium.  A pot of these on your front porch will definitely draw attention to your home.

Bonfire Begonia.  With its glowing orange flowers, narrow flowers and leaves, this one is not your typical begonia.  It's growth pattern makes it perfect for containers.

Super Elfin Orange Impatient.  A favorite of gardeners, the orange color produces total impact.

Margarita Orange Portulaca.  Easy, easy and easy with a bonus of great color.

Benary's Giant Orange Zinnia.  Plants that grow three feet high and two feet wide produce double blooming flowers with a four inch diameter.

Tomato Soup Coneflower. As an accompaniment to your purple coneflower, this orange variety will create an unexpected splash of vibrant color.

Candyman Orange Calendula.  Not only are they beautiful, but they're edible.

Discovery Orange African Marigold.  Big and bold!

Flirtation Orange Twinspur.  Charming orange flowers will bloom all season long.

Orange Spark Symphony Osteospermum.  Cheerful and bright.

Octoberfest Rose.  A grandiflora with the perfect orange hue.

Primal Scream Daylily.  Blooms with a tangerine orange color.

Now be honest...orange you glad we said orange?
